Today was a very productive day. It was the kickoff to a week-long celebration at work, and also my daughters first day of 7th grade. It was also a new day, and a new opportunity to keeping moving forward, instead of looking back. So, here are the three things I’m grateful for today:

1. Columbia Independent School — it’s as much as some people’s car or house payment each month, but its a wonderful investment into my daughters future. I’m so grateful to be able to send Lauren there, at least for one more year. I still can’t believe she’s in 7th grade already!!

2. Being a homeowner. I’ve spent the last several days cleaning and organizing my home after months of being too busy or too depressed to care. I’m so grateful to have a roof over my head and a place to call home, not to mention the fact that I live in a neighborhood with great people who would help me in a jiffy, including my momma.

3. I’m grateful for new beginnings. I’ve finally gotten the closure I needed after nearly 8 months of not dealing with something that I should have taken care of in January. Sometimes it’s painful and absolutely heartbreaking, but necessary in order to move on. Now I can get back to being f’ing fabulous!
